Welcome, I’m so pleased you have found where I live online!
Several years ago, my spiritual director, the Revd. John James, shared a children’s book – Jeremy by Hugh Walpole – a book the Reverend had been given in his own childhood. It was published in 1917 and I quickly realised it was wonderfully written and that I’d learn so much about writing from it. I looked for a copy of Jeremy but could only find expensive editions. This morning, however, my director gave me a copy he had found in a second-hand bookshop, a wonderful treat! And he is now searching for the other Jeremy books in order to give the set to me.
Although the ground at the World Heritage Site was covered in snow, a few people turned up and one lady who had seen my mention on Twitter made a special journey to visit me and was kind enough to take a photograph of me with her lovely children. Thank you so much, Trish. I was delighted with the book sales. One little girl was excited to see my book Candle Dark. She had been reading the book at school and had then moved to another town. Now she wished to have a copy of the book so that she could finish it.
